Team Nirvana was inspired in 2008 by several individuals who had fought or were in the process of fighting breast cancer. These individuals wanted to show their support and bring awareness to this disease by training for and completing the inaugural 26.2 with Donna: The National Breast Cancer Marathon. Liz Kawecki has set up walk/run training schedules for people of all ages and physical abilities. Every Saturday morning from November through February these people meet to stretch, field information on the correct walk/run practices and build new friendships. This team has continued to evolve over the years and trains for other local charity races/events throughout the year. New people are welcome to join us. It is FREE! There will be two different routes for the PP walks. If I have the routes ahead of time I will email out; otherwise just show up and the leader for that Saturday will describe the route.
